Wendy Kay Lindsey Wiley, age 54, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep Wednesday evening, December 27th, 2017 at her home in Crowley, TX.
Wendy was born on July 28th 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas to William “Bubba” Lindsey and Karen Cloer Lindsey.
Nicknamed "Wendywirl" she was fun-loving with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor and was quite often, unintentionally hilarious, which endeared her to everyone she came in contact with. It was the simple things in life that she relished in. Wendy loved to cook for her family and her excitement about going grocery shopping was unreal. She would always go out for bread and come home with 25 Kroger sacks in tow in a total state of glee.
Wendy loved without restraint and the epitome of a giver. One of her favorite things to do was to hunt for thoughtful little unexpected gifts at thrift stores and garage sales to unexpectedly bestow upon her family and friends. She loved cooking, working in the yard, taking care of her plants and being outdoors with her beloved four legged companions (whom enjoyed guilting her into overfeeding them on the daily). Her ideal way to end the day was spent watching old Hollywood flicks with her two favorite film critics; mother Karen and daughter Ryan, on the Turner Classic Movie station.
Wendy’s joyful spirit, unyielding kindness and countless acts of love will be embedded in our memory forever. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by what she always deemed her two finest accomplishments; her daughter Ryan, 32 and son Zachary, 27 of Fort Worth, TX. She is also survived by her beloved mother Karen Lindsey, brothers William Lindsey, Timothy Lindsey, and Wendall Elias, Aunt Gerry Teeter, cousins Keith, Brent and Gayle Teeter, many nieces and nephews, and by her cherished family pets, Zazu, Kaya and Bodhi.
Celebration of her life is 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield, with Pastor Don Womble officiating. Memorial service follows at 6:30pm.
