Mary Ann Boone

Our beloved mother Mary Ann Boone passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on November 10, 1942, in Detroit, Texas to Calvin and Cleo Smith. The family moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1953 where she became a member of the Community Christian Church and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Martha Jo Smith, her husband, Melvin Boone, and a great-great-granddaughter Trenisha Smith. 

Mary lived a very fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents which included a passion for cooking and baking, and she even worked as a beautician for a short time. She also cared for her father until he passed on. This serves as a testament to her kind-hearted and generous soul, always putting others' needs before her own. Our mother was always there for her family, offering support, wisdom, and an abundance of love. She was never afraid to be our mother---to put her foot down, to teach us right from wrong, to make sure we did our best. Our mother's compassion let us know she cared, believed, and was there for us no matter what. She will be remembered for her good deeds and warm personality.

Mary Boone is survived by her children Jimmy Smith, Patricia Smith (Ernest), Janice Myers (Eugene), Pamela Bradley, and Rosalind Jones (Ronnie), {11} grandchildren; Vontrese Bailey, Eric Monta, Latrisha, Reginald, and Tiffany Smith, Marcus, Latoya, Darion, Jalessa, and April Boone, and Shalon Thomas, {39} great-grandchildren, {14} great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives.
