Tom Mcclure

July 3, 1944 — February 7, 2015

Tom McClure closed his eyes on this earth and opened them in Heaven on Saturday, February 7, 2015. His wife and children were by his side, holding him and each other close. Tom was born in Bristow OK to Linnie and Sadie McClure. He had a wonderful life and was much loved and respected by his family, friends and associates from his many years in the ceramic tile industry. He was known for his love and pride for his family, his honesty, integrity, gentle demeanor and love of animals. He enjoyed his travels around the world but his first love was home.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shadan Mansoor and the staff at the Cancer Center at Huguley Hospital, Ft. Worth, Dr Estil Vance, all the other doctors who cared for him and the 6th and 7th Floor staff, especially Abby, at the T Boone Pickens Cancer Center in Dallas. Also thank you to all who kept Tom and his family in your thoughts and prayers during his brief illness.
Welcoming Tom as he completed his journey in this life were his parents, brother Heairl, sister Betty McHughs, nephew Bruce McHughs, sons Craig Douglas and baby boy Matthew.
He will be loved forever by his wife, Patricia, sons Christopher (Michelle, Samantha, CJ) of Anaheim Hills CA and Ian (Misti, Annalee, Lincoln, Jack) of Burleson TX, daughters Manda McClure-Vobis (John, Darren, Holly) of Midlothian TX and Holly McClure-Horejs (Trent) of Twin Falls ID. Also cherishing his memory are sisters Deloris Hale (Jim) of Sapulpa OK and Sue (Marty) of Edmond OK, sister-in-law June Meredith and brother-in-law Gene Dover of Burleson TX, and loving friend Carol Elmore of Midlothian TX, many nieces, nephews and cousins around the country. Missing him terribly are his constant companions Lacey, Barkley, Tigger, Solomon and cat Willie.
If you would like to honor Tom’s memory please make a contribution to Serenity Horse Haven, PO Box 1257, Canton TX 75103, the Burleson Animal Shelter or any charity of your choice. In keeping with Tom’s wishes he has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
