James Edward Mccoy Jr.

James Edward McCoy Jr., of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the age of 60.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Skyvue Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 2:00pm Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Skyvue Funeral Home.

James was born on February 20, 1962 in Monahans, Texas to James Edward McCoy Sr. and Bertha McCoy (Brown).

He attended Southwest High School in Fort Worth, Texas where he graduated from in 1980. James was then employed by E.O. Woods Special Designs before making the decision to become self-employed.

In his free time, James was a devoted mentor for Tarrant County M.H.M.R. and his own program, Jay’s House. He also enjoyed going fishing, keeping up with football, track and field and he loved his Dallas Cowboys. His kind and caring spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

James is preceded in death by his sister, Shavonda Green; grandmother, Alberta Brown.

He is survived by his parents, Bertha McCoy and James McCoy Sr.; special mom, Debra K. Green; sisters, Ida McCoy (Mac), Shinikka Delce, Pauline McCoy; brothers, Terry Green (Lemia), Robert Newton (Kendra), John McCoy, Floyd McCoy, J.T. Sims, Dedric Delce (Channie), Jarvis Delce (Marie); nieces, Nyla Mitchell Green, Tamika D. Green, Lashun Mitchell, Alicia Dary, Jamia Mitchell, Lyter Green; nephews, Triston Dary, Trae Dary, Taylor Dary; and numerous other extended family members and loving friends.
