Christopher Robert “Chris” Menefee was born in Lubbock on September 23, 1960, and passed away in Mansfield July 31, 2018. Memorial Service: 2:00pm Monday, at Skyvue Funeral Home, 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd. Mansfield, Texas 76063.

Chris’ family moved to Pantego when he was 9, and he graduated from Arlington High School. After graduating from Dallas Baptist University with a degree in Business Management, he spent a majority of
his career working in aerospace and defense. After 23 years at Vought Aircraft, he worked at Elbit Systems for 13 years, and was working at Aviall Boeing at the time of his death. Chris was a skilled negotiator and enjoyed working as a buyer. Chris loved to scuba dive, travel, and explore new places and cuisine. He also loved to joke around and negotiate everything. Friends and family remember his generosity, thoughtfulness, and dry humor. He had volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and especially enjoyed serving as Route Safety volunteer for walkers at Susan G. Komen The 3-Day.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Lee and William Dewitt Menefee.
He is survived by his wife Betsy Menefee; son Ryan, daughter Karlie Hassoldt and husband Jace, daughter Chloe, stepdaughter Laura Dillion; granddaughter Layla Grace Hassoldt; brothers Michael, John, Charlie, Bill, and sister Jackie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
