Robert Wayne Merchant, 77, passed away on Saturday, Oct 15, 2022.
Graveside: 1 pm Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Cope Cemetery, Burleson TX.

Robert was a man of character and humor. He was a man with a calling to service others. He served his country first in the Army. After the military he chose a career in Law enforcement. Robert worked for over 30 years as a police officer or sheriff's deputy, retiring in 2006 after spending 21 years with the Tarrant County Sheriff's office. Robert always seemed to have a smile on his face, and he loved to share old police stories. He liked to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh as well. His hobbies were going gun shows, watching football and learning about United State History and hid family genealogy. Robert was a loving husband, brother, father and friend.
Survivors: Wife, Cherly Merchant; daughter, Kimberly Marchant Watkins; stepdaughter, Michelle Aduddell and Patrick Wilson, Georgia Cartwright and husband Alan; sons, Ricky Wayne Merchant and wife Marci, Floyd Merchant; brother, Ronald Merchant and wife Penny; grandchildren, Ross Edmund Merchant, Peighton Elyse Guillot, Jasie Jarvis Hatcher, Wyatt Wilson; nephew, Greg Merchant.
