Carol Lee Mills

Carol Lee Marten was born in Effingham, IL on Aug. 18, 1942 to Viola E. Marten and W.J. Marten where she grew up on a farm near Altamont, IL with her two brothers, Charles and Rick. She made good grades, and was well liked, and participated in the Lutheran Church during her young adult life. She then earned a Bachelor's degree at Capital University in Ohio to later be a French, English, and Latin teacher. Just before graduating she married Jack Mills and they have been married for 55 years. After teaching, she held various jobs, but the one she liked the most was helping others with job traing in CA. she was so good at her job training that others came to learn from her. She enjoyed traveling with Jack, and was appreciated by her family for her special cooking. Jack and carol Lee had 3 children: Kelly born in Champaign, IL, Brian born in St. Charles, Mo. and Vicki born in Dallas, TX. They have 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Carol Lee's joy was being with family and friends whom she dearly loved. she will be truly missed
