David Charles Mullins, "Papa Bear", 88, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, in Lufkin, Texas.
Visitation: 6-8pm Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Skyvue Funeral Home, Mansfield, Texas.
Service: 10am Friday, August 21, 2020 at Skyvue Funeral Home. Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens.
David was born on November 3,1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Florence and Erdie Mullins. On August 6, 1978 he married his loving wife, Doris Jeanette Clark Mullins, in Fort Worth, Texas. He worked as the regional manager of sales and services for Lanshires, and as a minister. He loved to travel, fish, and spend time with his beloved family and friends. His contagious smile and loving spirit will be deeply missed.
David is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jeanette Mullins; parents, Erdie Mullins and Florence Mullins; son, Jerry Mullins; brothers, Tony Mullins, Daniel “Bud” Mullins; sister, Pauline Woods.
He is survived by his daughters, Debi Taylor and fiancé, Rick Perez, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Darlene Mullins, of Grandview, Texas, Mary Thornhill and husband Darrell, of Lufkin, Texas; sons, Tommy Mullins and wife, Karen, of Moore, Oklahoma, Scott Hall of Tallahassee, Florida; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine nieces; three nephews; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and beloved friends.
