Mel Neuman, 87, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Graveside service: 10 am Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Skyvue Memorial Gardens.
Mel worked as a Freight Car Inspector for Burlington and retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years. He spent 10 years in civil service, 30 years in Planning and Zoning and Mayor of Mansfield for 3 years. He worked as a Big League of Dreams and Hawaiian Falls developer and wanted to develop a great community for families and was a Pillar of the community for Mansfield. Mel had a Amateur Radio License, was a Round Dancing Cuer for 35 years and was a honored guest speaker for Skyvue Funeral Home during their Memorial Day Service held yearly.
Mel was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Carolee Neuman; daughter, Cindy Neuman and sister, Wilda Gotchall.
Survivors: Son, Ricky Neuman and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Amanda Fulmer and Justin Neuman; great grandchildren, Madison Fulmer, Jase Fulmer, Savannah Neuman and J.J. Neuman; sister, Wanda Stroebel.
