Nickie Buryl Duggan

Nickie Buryl Duggan, 86, returned to his heavenly home on September 21, 2024. Nickie was born to the late Nicholas and Lorean Duggan in Gorman, Tx on November 13, 1937.  He was born into a very large family of twelve.

Nickie was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his true love Margaret Honea Duggan on October 28, 1956 in Eastland, Tx. Nickie was a hard worker, he spent most of his days working two jobs and on his day off you could find him at the golf course playing golf. Nickie was kind-hearted and was willing to help anyone in need. He was good father, grandfather and great grandfather, always there when you needed someone to talk to. Nickie was a faithful Christian, he was a member of Northside Church of Christ for many years where he studied the word of God. Nickie spent a lot of his time studying the bible and the Lords word and worked diligently to live his life in alignment of the Lords teachings. Nickie was a devoted Christian and would spread the gospel to anyone he met. 

Nickie is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Margaret Honea Duggan; his first son Darvin Rex Duggan of Maypearl; his parents Nicholas and Lorean Duggan of Gorman; his eight siblings, brother Edward Duggan, sister Francis Overstreet, sister Scytha Alldredige, sister Stella Rider, sister Johnnie Mcgilvray, sister Cordelia Smithey, brother Russell Duggan and sister Virginia Heggedahl.

 Nickie is survived by his sister Mary Lou Vincent and her husband Wayne; his son Dean Duggan and wife Laura of Waxahachie; his son Darren Duggan and his wife Sharon of Robertsville, Mo; his daughter Dianne Banks of Waxahachie; his 10 grandchildren; his 10 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
