Omolara was born on February 27, 1963, in Lagos, Nigeria, to Christiana Oluranti Wuraola and Timothy Olabimtan Wuraola. She married Olayemi Ogunleye in Lagos, Nigeria on March 3, 1990. She was a member of RCCG Household of Faith in Arlington, Texas. She loved to cook, and spend time with her family and friends.

Omolara is preceded in death by her parents, Christiana and Timothy Wuraola; her brother and sister.

Omolara is survived by her husband of 34 years, Olayemi Ogunleye; her daughter, Ifemayo Ogunleye; her sisters, Abimbola and Akanni Akinwale, Oluyombo and Sesan Odunusi, Olusola and Olufemi Akinleye; her brother, Adegboyega and Olubunmi Wuraola; her many nieces and nephews; her special family friends, Folashade Asekun, Yetunde Shittu, Omolara Akinsanya, and Elizabeth Ogungbire.
