He was born on May 11, 1944 to Walter Pence and Bertha Pence in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
Sam loved to do yardwork, garden, fish and eat pies. He was a very caring and hard working man who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Pence (Pat); daughters, Angie Pence, Tammie Reid, Billie Runion, Donna Bates; son, Sam Gordon Pence; parents, Walter and Berta Pence; sisters, Mae and Leon Burris, Yersie Keller, Jane Myers, Virginia Groves, Delories Mikklesom; brothers, Russell Pence, Bill Pence, Fran Pence, Floyd Pence, Leonard Pence, Chuck Pence; lots of grandbabies; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
