Quintin Guerrero Williams has gone to be with the Lord on July 4, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born on June 10, 1942, in Marfa, Texas, and lived in Carrollton, Texas.
Quintin very proudly served and influenced many lives whether through art, singing, dancing, or final acts of service with the Knights of Columbus at his church St. Catherine of Siena in Carrollton.
He was the first in his family to graduate from Blackwell and Marfa High School in Marfa, Texas. He then attended college at Sul Ross the Frontier University of West Texas in Alpine, Texas, where he graduated with a BS in Education. His dream was to become a police officer as his heritage includes strong military and law enforcement ties from his father, Catarino Brito Williams - Army, eldest brother, Ishmael Guerrero - Army Reserve, brother, Alberto G. Williams - Army, son, Jonathan Williams - Marine, daughter, Veronica Sites - TXSG Army, and nephews serving in the Border Patrol, Homeland Security, Texas State Troopers, and multiple police departments. Each continues a legacy influenced by a man with a heart for others.
He was a patriot head to toe and was a very front and center presence wherever he was. He served as a Dallas Police Officer for 11 years before returning to teaching for 25 years through retirement from DISD at W.E. Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy as a Texas History Teacher.
Addison Kaboom Town was his favorite fireworks show to watch, so we live streamed for him while in hospice care for only a few hours. Dismissing us to go home, we said "we will be here to see you in the morning". His response, "I'll see you in Heaven".
He is preceded in death by his parents, Catarino B. and Josefina Williams; his brothers, Ishamel G. and Alberto G. Williams; his sisters, Belen G. Williams and Josefina G. Williams Luna.
He is survived by his "number one and favorite son and daughter-in-law", Jonathan E. and Barbara Williams; his first born daughter and son-in-law, Veronica and Michael Sites; his grandchildren, Catherine K. Williams, Wraith E. Williams, Stephanie Shook, Amy K. Reyes, and six great-grandchildren.
