Rebecca (Becky) Suzanne Bothe Halas passed away May 26, 2023, in Mansfield, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Becky was born July 16, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Joseph and Doris Bothe. Shortly afterward, her family relocated to Arlington, Texas, where she attended school and graduated from Arlington High School in the class of 1970. The ensuing years
encompassed a variety of jobs while helping raise her two daughters, Lezley and Cari-Michelle, the most notable of which was a long career with AT&T in Dallas, Texas, from 1998 until 2017 when she retired.
Becky asked Jesus into her heart as a child and carried that faith since, traveled and sang gospel music with her siblings, and had a beautiful voice. Her faith was strong and she knew that she would be with Jesus when she left this earth and had no fear of death, being a believer in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” She had the ultimate honor to lead her grandchildren to the Lord. Becky loved
nothing more than spending time with her family, daughters, and grandchildren, always hosting sleepovers where the grandkids got to feast on their Ana's sweet treats and stay up far later than normal. She was an outstanding cook and loved holiday family
gatherings where she was known to show up with a delicious dish always made from scratch.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Earl and Doris Maxine Bothe, and brother-in-law, Michael Manire. Survivors include daughter Lezley Cull and husband Jeff of Mansfield, grandsons Riley Cull, Casey Cull, and Brady Cull; daughter Cari- Michelle Dickey and husband Josh of Arlington, granddaugther River-Elizabeth Dickey and grandson Jase Dickey; sister Vicki Manire of Burleson; brother Timothy Bothe of Arlington; brother David Bothe of Burleson; uncle and aunt Don and Wanda Woodard of Fort Worth; multiple cousins, nieces/nephews and grandnieces/nephews; and her beloved cat Muggsy.
