Joseph Roberts Jr

Joseph Allison Roberts Jr. was called to his Heavenly Home on Sunday,
September 17, 2017, after a courageous battle against cancer. He passed
away peacefully among his family members in his home.
Joey was born on May 16, 1957, in Greenville, MS, to Joseph and Marguerite
Roberts. He was the second youngest of five children and the only boy
among four sisters. Joey enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, riding
motorcycles and four-wheelers, playing pool, and traveling with his wife,
Shonna. He loved spending time with his family.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and son. He was
kind, generous, and never met a stranger, as he immediately befriended
them. Joey possessed an extremely strong work ethic, sense of humor, and
a big heart. He was a servant of God and a member of First Colleyville
Church. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ and would share the gospel and his
testimony whenever he could.
He is survived by his loving wife Shonna; his children, Allison Connors and
husband Brandon, Austin Roberts and wife Jessica, Ashley Lavallee, and
Brandon Lavallee; his grandson Grayson Lavallee; his mother Marguerite
Roberts; his four sisters, Debi (Dr. Steve) Watson, Rhonda (Larry) Fike, Mona
(Barry) Chamberlain, and Delores (Joey) Page; and his many nieces and
nephews, along with other family.
Joey was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Allison Roberts Sr.
A Memorial Service celebrating Joey’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on
Saturday, September 30, 2017, at First Colleyville Church, 5300 Colleyville
Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034.
