Gerald was born on a cold winters day December 25, 1949 to mother, Marjorie Nell Trimble Roden and Father Billy Roden. He later graduated from Grandview Highschool where he played football. After he graduated and grew into adulthood, he worked for JCPenney's Warehouse for many years where he later retired. He then picked up a new trade and began to drive trucks for the BCI in Mansfield, Texas. When Gerald had free time, he spent his time with family and friends camping, fishing, going to his favorite diner for a good breakfast and even down to the simplest of things like taking Breanna lunch at school. He never missed his daughter's softball games, Caleb's football, and baseball games or Breanna's softball games. He will always remain in spirit from now on at any event we may have in our future.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Julia Roden of Burleson, Texas; his two daughters, Kim Roden and Stacy Davis; son in law, Steven Davis; 2 grandchildren, Caleb Smith and Breanna Davis and many more loved family and friends.
