Jimmy R Rodgers, 79, A follower of Jesus Christ went peacefully home to be with his Lord, surrounded by his wife and both daughters.
Visitation to begin at 1 pm followed by a Celebration of Life :2 pm Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Bar Cross Cowboy Church 12001 FM 917 Alvarado, TX. 76009.

He is survived by the love of his life, his bride of 57 years Bessie Gatewood Rodgers, daughter Kim Rodgers Hill and husband Mark, daughter Paula Rodgers Gilliland ; three Grandchildren, Justin Hill and wife Veronica, Megan Velasco and husband Mike, Bailey Gilliland and husband Garrett; six great grandchildren, Alyssa, Vince, Joshua, Cheyenne, Laynee and Saige. Jimmy loved Jesus, his family and his Church family. He will be missed by his loved ones! Before he passed away he said “if I can’t go to Church, I’ll go to Heaven”! Fly high good and faithful servant! Fly high!
