Shari Lynn Bailey
December 4, 1962 – November 22, 2023
Shari was sadly taken from us on November 22, 2023, at 60 years old. She was a loving mother, Grammy, Sister and Friend. Shari was born in Denver, CO on December 4, 1962, to Larry and Bertha Bailey. Shari was the youngest of 6 children.
Shari attended Mansfield High School where she played basketball, volleyball and competed in track and field events. Shari graduated from Mansfield High School in 1981.
Shari started working for 7-Eleven in February of 1984 as a cashier at a local store; her attention to detail, strong work-ethic and leadership qualities quickly caught the attention of her manager and co-workers. Shari had many different roles with 7-Eleven including 17 years running and managing stores, 6 years in 7-Eleven’s training program, several years in facility maintenance and ending her career as Project Manager handling a variety of special projects. She worked with the company for 39 years total until her passing. Shari thought of 7-Eleven as family as she had created many lifelong friendships with co-workers across the country from the store employees, all the way up to the CEO, as well as many vendors.
Shari’s love was her family, her children, grandchildren and friends. They brought her so much joy as she did them. She also loved being in the mountains, fishing, kayaking, hiking and attending church. As much as she loved all the above, her greatest love was God. Shari was a member of the United Methodist Church of LaVeta, CO In which her and mother “Bert” attended virtually through Zoom.
Shari was preceded in death by her father Larry Bailey, as well as her sister Kristy Bush and brother-in-law Dudley Havens. She has since been reunited with her mother Bertha Bailey and sister-in-law Connie Bailey.
Shari is survived by: Son, Christopher and wife Nicole Jesperson; Daughter, Kaitlyn Bailey; Son-in-law, Gonzalo Mercado; Grandchildren, Cheslee Jesperson, Marco Guinan, and Natalia Mercado; Sisters, Connie Havens and Patti Altman; Brothers,

“On angels wings you were taken away too soon, but forever in our hearts you will stay.”
“If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me, place them in my mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her awhile. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there’s an ache in my heart that will never go away.”
