Murray Wayne Shumate, 78, went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
A veteran of the US Air Force, he proudly served from 1957 until his retirement in 1979.
Visitation: 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Skyvue Funeral Home. Service: 12 noon Saturday at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield. Burial: Bethesda Cemetery, Burleson Texas.
Preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Irene Shumate; the love of his life, his wife of 54 years, Bettye.
Survivors: Sons, David Shumate, Mike Shumate and Wife, Pam; Daughters, Cindy Myatt, Christine Blanton and Husband, John; 15 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
