ARLINGTON - - Rosetta ‘Rose’ Ruth Simpson, 67, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Rose was born August 3, 1950 in Pampa, TX to Derward Daniel Robbins and Artie Jewel Robbins (Gandy). She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, mema, grandma and friend. She worked in medical research in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for more than 2 decades. Her joyful, generous spirit and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Derward Eugene Robbins and Donald Dean Robbins, and her husband of 30 years, Dale Patterson Simpson, Jr.
MEMORIAL SERVICE - - 10 a.m. February 16, 2018 at Skyvue Funeral Home Chapel, 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Road (FM 1187), Mansfield, TX, 76063. Internment following at Skyvue Cemetery.
SURVIVORS - - Those left to cherish her memory are sister, Artie (Ann) Nayfa; son Col. Lewis Knapp, Jr. (Shelly); daughter Julie Clay; son James Simpson (Paige); sister-in-law Retha Robbins; niece Crystal Poindexter; grandchildren Elizabeth Clay, Justin Patton, Katherine Knapp, Lewis Knapp III, and Griffin Simpson; great-grandchild Hayden Foxworth; and many more extended and adopted family and friends.
