MANSFIELD -- Nelson “Beau” Smith of Mansfield, TX passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 9, 2014. He was known for his open, loving, and soft-hearted nature; his boundless love for his family and friends; his unfailing support for others and his passionate enthusiasm for life on this beautiful Earth.
Beau was born August 3, 1962 in Arlington, Texas to Rita and Douglas Nelson Smith.
He is survived by his wife Laurie Smith, his three daughters Peyton, Taylor, and Rayna Smith, and his five siblings: Clint Smith, Devereaux Smith, Janie Musto, Virginia Upwards, and Gemma Moran. He is fondly remembered by a fierce and steadfast tribe of friends and family too numerous to be named.
Memorial Service: 6:30-8:00pm Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Skyvue Chapel (7220 FM 1187 Mansfield, TX 76063). You can honor Beau by making a donation in his name to cancer prevention at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he received excellent care (gifts.mdanderson.org).
