Fort Worth — Jose Antonio Vega, 73, died Monday, November 18, 2019 peacefully at his home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca.
He leaves behind his son, John Vega and wife Jennifer, daughter, Teresa Vega and wife Amy, daughter, Maria Purtle and husband Daniel, daughter, Angela Standerfer and husband Steven. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Canaan, Victoria, Joshua, Saber, Hannah, Tristan, Lia, Jonah, Jacob, Isaac; one great-grandchild, James.
Mr. Vega was born in Mexico but has made Fort Worth his home since 1969 when he met and married his beloved Becky. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication to providing for his family and love of marathon running.
Although he will be missed by loved ones, he is rejoicing in the Lord’s presence and being reunited
with his bride of 47 years.
