Virginia Gambrell was born to parents George B. Redrick and Justine Dorsey Redrick on October 29, 1956 in Muleshoe, Texas. At a young age, Virginia and her family moved to Grand Prairie, Texas. With her family, Virginia attended Lighthouse Church of God In Christ. She attended Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas where she graduated in 1975. Virginia met J. Harvey Gambrell in high school and later married, from this union four children were born.
Virginia was a remarkable woman who worked tirelessly to raise her children and grandchildren. She instilled in us the values of independence, strength, and hardwork, emphasizing that these qualities were essential for success in life. Despite facing numerous challenges, she remained funny, uplifting, and always spoke her mind. Her advice was always sound and she had a caring and kind heart, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Virginia’s presence in our lives was a true blessing, and her legacy of love and support will forever be cherished.
Virginia left behind her loving husband J. Harvey Gambrell of 45 years, sons Eric J Gambrell (Taryn), Monte D Gambrell (Olivia), Jay N Gambrell, and daughter Laretta J. Gambrell. Sisters: BIllie Henderson, Ritsey Redrick, Katherine Redrick. Brother: Louis Redrick. Step brothers: Paul Henry and Dale Sterling. Sister in law: Kathy Redrick, Ella Dimes, Glory Oldacre, and Elaine Wilson. Brother in law: WIlliam Crowe, Stanley Gambrell, and Robert Gambrell. Grandchildren: Qeyanna Gambrell, Taylor Gambrell, Jasmine Gambrell, Javen Gambrell, Michael Johnson, Eric Gambrell II, Neveah Gambrell, John Gambrell, Malachi Gambrell, Kynleigh Gambrell, London Gambrell, and Blake Gambrell. Great grandchild: Katherine Gambrell. Nieces and Nephews: Anita Green, Dennis Henderson, Quincy Redrick, Lashun Henderson, Michael Henderson, Janice Henderson, Angelina Jones, Tiffany Redrick, Tosha Cawfield, James Germany Jr., Robin Redrick, Lee Cawfield, Philip Redrick, LaTrina Bowen, TiShara Bowen, Xavier Redrick, Alexander Rodriquez, and Lucinda Jones. Virginia will also be mourned by a host of very special great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
