Our son, a father, a brother, a sweet slice of heaven, Darrell left this Earth on June 1st 2016. To say he was special is an understatement. Darrell was chosen by God to be my fruit at a young age of 18. He had the most brightest eyes, that were alive and never dim. He made us laugh in hard times in life, and was sealed with the name Joker. It applied to him as a bullseye. Darrell Eugene-Spencer Washington was born December 7th 1980, in Oakland California. When God made him, He really threw a party. We are celebrating his life, not how he passed, but how he lived. Darrell served our country, being an active member of the US Army for 5 years. He had tours of duty in South Korea and Iraq. Darrell was an intelligent man, and challenged us with his ability to turn a conversation in his favor. The Jedi mind trick. He will be missed beyond measure. Darrell’s life was for a season. On loan from God to us. Although at age 35, he parted the silver cord and the broken cistern, He is alive in a place where there are no tears, no sickness, no war, no pain. The place where Jesus Christ has prepared a mansion for his dwelling place. Darrell received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at a young age. Only God alone, knows their fellowship, his last words. He left behind, a family that loved him fervently, completely and openly. His Father Jose Almonte, His mother Willa Almonte, His two beloved brothers, Isaiah Washington and Daniel Almonte. His beautiful children, Justice Landry Washington, Darrell (Deuce) Washington Jr., and Amir Washington. He also loved and left to miss him Many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. His beautiful love Cynthia Mathis and a host of army buddies and friends. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb, His reward. Psalm 127:3.
