Billy J. White Sr.'s Life Journey
Billy J. White Sr. entered this world on November 26, 1951 with God's plan and purpose etched on his heart. He was a survivor from the start with great strength and a will to live. He was the son of Billie Jean Dory and James Arthur White.
He dearly loved his grandparents Catherine and H.B. Sessions and spoke often of his memories as a child growing up in Palestine, Texas. He had several other siblings.
During his life, he was a loving husband, proud father, doting grandfather, caring son and brother, as well as a great friend. He loved life and had a desire to live it abundantly. He was an athlete, active in all sports but track and field was where he shined the most. He attended UTA and while there pledged to become a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity.
He worked at Lockheed Martin for 28 years. He did various things throughout his life to help others and give back including at one time serving as a volunteer firefighter. He was a true family man! His humor and charm was infectious. He made friends wherever he would go.
Despite his sickness, he never lost his will to live. He held onto his faith and trusted that God would walk with him. He was the ultimate fighter and survivor, rising above all his ailments, illness, and suffering; continuing to persevere. An inspiration to us all, he continued to push forward. He was the epitome of strength and being an overcomer.
