On July 25, 194, Bessie L. and Harry T. Williams welcomed the youngest of their two boys into the world. Richard’s first years were spent surrounded by family in Fort Worth, Texas.
At a young age, Richard moved with his parents, brother (Harry T., Jr.), and two sister (V’Esta and Sheila Kay) to California. He graduated from Pasadena High School in 1964. Furthering his education, he graduated from trade school thus beginning his life-long career as a machinist. The Majority of his career spent working at Lockheed Martin, ultimately retiring from there after nearly 30 years of service.
He spent his free days fishing, watching sports, playing video games, modeling airplanes, decorating floats, chilling with friends and family, and bringing joy and love to those who will never forget his laugh.
Rick chose to face his battle with cancer without disclosing the full extent of his illness to those who knew and loved him; thus ensuring laughter to tears, joy to sorrow, and the focus of life instead of his passing. Tasked with an unfathomable loss, many of his loved ones surrounded him as he drew his last breath on March 6, 2015.
Richard leaves his memories and is survived by: His girlfriend, Joann Ratliff; sons, Tobi and Richard, Jr. ; Daughter, Leah; Step-daughters, Celia and Vida; Grandchildren, Cylise, Cylver, Chazmon, Richard, III, and Frederick.; Brother, Harry T, Jr.; Cousins, Nephews, Nieces and countless friends. Many names were not mentioned but it doesn’t matter mean that you were not special to him because his heart was filled with love.
