Sammie Lea Lockwood Williams, 90 years old, passed away on January 14,2018.
She was born on September 2, 1927 in Peason, Louisiana. Sammie graduated in 1944 from Vidor High School in Vidor, Texas, where she was a cheerleader.
Sammie is survived by her children, daughter Linda (Wayne) Russell, son Ric (Lee) Starnes, daughter Donna Shepherd, and daughter Karen (Otto) Fritz, 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, sister Frances Seal, brother David Cruzan and many cherished friends.
Sammie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She had a zest for life. Sammie was an avid bowler, loved to play 42, and loved all sports, especially the Texas Rangers & Dallas Cowboys.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Sammie is a beautiful soul, loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed.
Viewing at 10am January 23, 2018 followed by family graveside memorial and Celebration of Life at 11.
