Wilma Carol Jumper Mercer went to be with her Lord August 28, 2024.
Wilma was born on a beautiful May 21st day in 1940, to Isaac Jumper and Louise Elizabeth Cecil in Greenville, Texas.
On December 3, 1960, Ms. Wilma Jumper married Marvin Lee Mercer in Mansfield, Texas, and spent 61 years together.
Wilma attended Arlington High School, UTA and obtained her real estate license. She worked for Louise Landrum Real Estate, Merril Lynch, Century 21, Tarver and Epps. Wilma attended New Hope Baptist Church and was a clerk there for 40 years. She had affiliations with Eastern Stars for 50 years, Camp Fannin, Tarrant County Voter Register, PTA life member and youth council New Hope. Often you could find Wilma tending her garden, relaxing with a good book, concentrating on crossword puzzles, teaching Sunday school for 25 years and always spoiling her grandchildren.
We would like to give special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion for Wilma.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Mercer; father, Isaac Jumper; mom and stepdad, Louise and Zack Landrum; sister, Gail Looney.
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Deanne and husband Joey Feracci, Jeanne Mercer, Debbie and her husband Randy Kline; grandchildren, Nicholas Mercer, Elizabeth Feracci, Haley Kline; uncle, Ray Jumper; and special friends, Amber Smith and family.
The Family request that you wear Wilmas favorite Color of Black to the Funeral in her honor.
