Billy Jay Wilson

Billy Jay Wilson, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 in Mansfield, Texas at the age of 86.

Service: 10:15am Friday, June 17, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.

He was born on December 18, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas to William James Wilson and Annie Lee Speer Wilson.

Billy was a paratrooper and jumpmaster with the United States Army until 1955. He married Joan Elizabeth Cunningham Wilson on September 7, 1957 in Kilgore, Texas. Billy received his Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering from UT, Austin and then went on to receive his Masters of Science in Engineering Mechanics from SMU.

In his free time Billy enjoyed reading, studying genealogy and traveling the country in their RV.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Lee William Wilson.

Billy is survived by his wife, Joan Wilson; daughter, Beth Masters and husband Ken; sons, Doug Wilson and wife Maria Luisa, Larry Wilson and wife Margie, Tommy Wilson and wife Martha Wilson; grandchildren and their spouses, Jessica and Kyle Willemse, Amanda and Ross Hodges, Eric Wilson, Jason Wilson, Brian Wilson, Rachel Wilson, Kayti Unitt; great-grandchildren, Paige Hodges, Branson Willemse.
